Oversized pistons housed in an ultralight magnesium caliper put a stranglehold on the two-piece rotor so you get eyeball-elongating stops. Avid could have called it good with those advancements alone, but the company continued in its pursuit of the ultimate stoppers by employing titanium hardware, a carbon lever blade, tool-free pad contact adjustment, and powerful TaperBore technology .
